Detective Jake Peralta and his diverse colleagues work together to police Brooklyn's 99th precinct. The squad includes overachiever Amy Santiago, tough-as-nails Rosa Diaz, sweetheart Charles Boyle and family man Sergeant Terry Jeffords. Also part of the Nine-Nine are clueless veteran officers Hitchcock and Scully and civilian assistant Gina Linetti. The team is led by their more-serious-than-a-hunk-of-actual-granite boss, Captain Raymond Holt, in doing what they do best: busting bad guys.

A mysterious criminal steals a secret state-of-the-art time machine, with the intent on destroying America as we know it by changing the past. Americas only hope for saving history is an unexpected team: a scientist, a soldier and a history professor. To catch the criminal the unusual team travels to critical points in history with the machine's prototype. The team must make every effort not to affect the past themselves, but they always have to stay one step ahead of this dangerous fugitive, who intends to erase Rittenhouse - a dangerous organization- from history.
